Concerts and Events

The singing voice can be used to express emotion, unite communities and pledge allegiance. People sing in the shower, as part of a choir or even in the stands of a sporting arena. Singing is one of the universal characteristics of being human and a feature shared by all societies. People sing to be more creative, to reduce stress and socialize with other singers, and for pure pleasure.

Singing is innate; babies sing long before they talk, by "cooing" and copying sounds around them. Children of three or four often sing to themselves in a stream of consciousness song, while adults whistle, hum or sing to themselves. Singing is primal; an international language supporting universal understanding of common themes and emotions. Singing is a bridge to other cultures and people.

We perform a blend of appealing, challenging, and interesting music each season, to give both singers and audiences a wide variety of musical experiences.  Singing is the Saginaw Choral Society performing some of the world's greatest music.  Listen in...
